2022 PR Xchange Event at ALA Annual : All Libraries Invited to Mail in their Promotional Materials

May 20, 2022 -  The PR Xchange Event will be held on Sun June 26, 2022 from 11:00am-1:00pm at ALA Annual, in the Special Events Area, ALA Exhibits Hall at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The PR Xchange Awards Co-chairs are charged with coordinating the PR Xchange Event at ALA Annual, and the annual awards competition, under the direction of the Awards and Scholarship Subcommittee of Core, a division of the American Library Association (ALA).

The PR Xchange Event offers visitors the opportunity to view and take home sample promotional materials from libraries across North America. Approximately 1,000 ALA Annual Conference attendees visit the PR Xchange event each year.  All libraries are invited to mail their promotional materials to be shared with colleagues at the PR Xchange Event (regardless if they won an award).

Please mail your materials to the Convention Center! We want to showcase your library's creative efforts in promoting library services and resources!

Please mail 25-50 copies of your entries at the PR Xchange Event. During the event, attendees can sample your promotional materials and gain inspiration from libraries around the country.

The 2022 PR Xchange Award winners will be announced next week. This year we received 198 entries in print and electronic formats from over 100 institutions, including public, academic, school, state, and special libraries. Entries were evaluated by a jury of 20 virtual judges. Submissions were assessed based on the quality of content, format, design, creativity and originality. The jury, which included a group of talented marketing professionals, graphic designers, librarians, and visual artists were very impressed by the innovative work submitted by these libraries.

The winners will be announced in a separate Press Release next week!!!

Winning entries will be on display at the PR Xchange Event from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2022  in the ALA Exhibits Hall - Special Events Area, at the ALA Annual Conference in Washington, DC.

The PR Xchange Awards ceremony will be held afterwards, in the same event space, from 1:00pm-1:45pm.

* Representatives of the PR Xchange Awards will be on-hand to answer questions
