[CANMEDLIB] JCHLA/JABSC Student Paper Prize

Hello Everyone,

JCHLA/JABSC would like to invite submissions for the Student Paper Prize!
This prize is awarded annually for the best unpublished paper on health
sciences librarianship by a student (or students) currently enrolled in
accredited library science master’s programs or library technician
programs. Research articles, program descriptions and review articles are
all eligible.

Papers will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

   - Contribution to health sciences librarianship
   - Originality and timeliness of the research
   - Clarity and style



*Prize:*

Awarded at the annual CHLA/ABSC conference, the JCHLA/JABSC Student Paper
Prize includes publication in the Journal of the Canadian Health Libraries
Association/Journal de l’Association des bibliothèques de la santé du
Canada, a certificate, free membership in the association for all
student authors,
and free registration to that year's CHLA/ABSC conference for one student
 author.



*Judging: *

The panel of judges is comprised of editors from JCHLA/JABSC and the
CHLA/ABSC President. The judges will read and evaluate all entries against
the criteria above. The decision of the judges is final. If, in the opinion
of the judges, no submission satisfies the criteria, the judges reserve
the right not to award the prize.



*Procedures:*

   1. Follow the appropriate manuscript format and reference guidelines as
   outlined in the JCHLA/JABSC Author Guidelines

   2. Send paper submissions, accompanied by the JCHLA/JABSC Student Paper
   Prize Submission Form
