[CANMEDLIB] Invitation - webinar - Bibliometric Research: A Primer for Librarian

Hello Everyone,

We would like to invite you to a 1-hour free webinar entitled "Bibliometric Research: A Primer for Librarian".  A description of the webinar is provided below and a poster with more information is attached.

Bibliometrics is the "application of statistical methods to the study of bibliographic<https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bibliographic> data" (Bibliometrics Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster<https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bibliometrics>). In this introductory instructional webinar, Philippe Boisvert (Université Laval) will describe applications for bibliometrics analyses in collaborative (multidisciplinary) and librarian-led research. A case study approach will highlight key methodological considerations in conducting this type of research.

Philippe Boisvert is a Bibliometrics and Research Impact Librarian at Université Laval. Phillipe has a MSc in physics and prior experience as a Science and Engineering librarian. Currently, he supports bibliometrics teaching and research at Université Laval.
