[CANMEDLIB] changes to CMA programs and services / des changements à des programmes et services à l'AMC

We wanted to inform this group that yesterday, the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) announced<https://www.cma.ca/news/focusing-impact-upcoming-changes-cma-programs-and-services> changes to its programs and services. I can confirm that we will be retiring our clinical information tools<https://joulecma.ca/clinical-tools>, including the Ask a Librarian service<https://joulecma.ca/clinical-tools/ask-a-librarian>, as well as CMAJ Open<https://www.cmajopen.ca/> in 2023. Specific expiry dates are posted on each clinical tool webpage. These decisions will have staffing implications, including reassignments and departures. We would ask you to take note of these changes and coordinate the appropriate changes to your websites, catalogue and/or discovery platforms and any relevant instructional materials.



We are providing a listing of alternate information providers<https://joulecma.ca/alternative-clinical-information-providers> for physicians and medical learners who may have access to clinical information tools and/or library services through their affiliation with a hospital, health system, medical school library or other organization. The list is not exhaustive and excludes libraries that do not have a public website. Suggestions for additions can be sent to librarian at cma.ca<mailto:librarian at cma.ca>.

Je suis en mesure de confirmer que nous allons cesser d’offrir nos outils d’information clinique<https://joulecma.ca/fr/outils-cliniques>, y compris le service Interrogez nos bibliothécaires<https://joulecma.ca/fr/outils-cliniques/interrogez-nos-bibliothecaires> et le CMAJ Open<https://www.cmajopen.ca/> en 2023. Les dates de mise hors service sont affichées dans la page Web de chacun de ces outils. Ces décisions entraîneront des conséquences pour notre personnel, notamment sous forme de départs et de réaffectations. Nous vous invitons à prendre note de ces changements et à apporter des modifications à vos sites Web, catalogues ou plateformes de découverte et à tout autre document de formation, le cas échéant.

Nous proposons une liste d’autres fournisseurs<https://joulecma.ca/fr/autres-options-de-fournisseurs-dinformation-clinique> aux médecins et aux apprenants et apprenantes en médecine dont l’affiliation à une organisation (hôpital, système de santé, bibliothèque de faculté de médecine, etc.) pourrait leur donner accès à des outils d’information clinique ou à des services de bibliothèque. Cette liste non exhaustive ne recense pas les bibliothèques qui n’ont pas de site Web public. Pour suggérer des ajouts, écrivez à bibliothecaire at amc.ca<mailto:bibliothecaire at amc.ca>.
