In Fall 2022, the Canadian Health Libraries Association/ Association des bibliothèques de la santé du Canada (CHLA/ABSC) Committee on Research (http://chla.absc.ca) hosted an initial series of three introductory seminars entitled Building Librarian Research Skills.

The goal of this peer-led continuing education initiative is to increase and support Canadian librarians' collective interest in and capacity to conduct research by sharing and building knowledge of processes, methodologies and methods to support librarian scholarship. The intent behind this initiative is to support both early career or student researchers and those with more advanced skills and experience in research.  Future seminar offerings will reflect the interests of both groups.

The sustainability of this initiative depends on community engagement and participation.

We invite you to attend and participate in a virtual engagement meeting on January 27, 2023 to plan the coordination and focus of future seminars.  During this meeting, we will discuss our collective research interests, topics and formats of future seminars and identify individuals within our community willing to work with coordinators to lead or co-lead seminars on these topics.
