Thanks Lindsay – and thanks to all of you who have responded so quickly and kindly! I will get back to everyone asap and will be happy to summarize for the group.
Just a clarification that I did not run the searches myself: I provided extensive support to the grad student in developing the searches and also assisted with questions about screening and screening software, etc.

Ugh. Just ugh. Sorry this happened. I’m interested to know how others deal with this as well. Would you mind summarizing for the group?
Thanks,

Hello health librarian colleagues,
This is a combination kvetch and question post 😊
Today I came across a newly published systematic review<https://ocul-bu.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/permalink/01OCUL_BU/p5aakr/cdi_proquest_miscellaneous_2612392645> for which I provided a great deal of support to the lead author, a graduate student. Under the terms of our Levels of Systematic Review Services<https://brocku.ca/library/systematic-reviews/#1604605007105-107a88f1-0056>, librarians providing Tier 2 support (extended consultations) are to be acknowledged by name as “participating investigators” in any resulting published research including theses and dissertations.
Guess what: I am mentioned as a nameless Applied Health Sciences Librarian ☹in the paper. I’m sure this scenario happens quite often! As does neglecting to mention librarian support at all.
I’m trying to decide whether to follow up with the authors, and I’m curious to hear how others handle this type of oversight – looking for tips, commiseration, whatever you’ve got!
Happy to receive responses off-list if that suits.
Cheers
Elizabeth
