[CANMEDLIB] Inquiry about current awareness services at your institution

Good day to all,

Our organization is presently revisiting our current awareness procedures, and I am sending out this quick poll to inquire about the levels of service offered at your institutions when it comes to current awareness.  In particular:


  *   Do you offer education sessions to students/faculty/staff on current awareness?  If yes, what topics are covered? (i.e. e-mail alerts, subject alerts, RSS feeds, other)
  *   Is current awareness library staff-mediated (i.e. staff members set up alerts for clients) or client-mediated (i.e. clients are provided with instructions on how to set up alerts for themselves)

Please reply to me off-list (marcus.vaska at albertahealthservices.ca) with any information you are able and willing to share with regards to the above questions.
