[CANMEDLIB] JCHLA/JABSC: Call for Copyeditor (deadline May 15)

The Journal of the Canadian Health Libraries Association/Journal de l'Association des bibliothèques de la santé du Canada (JCHLA/JABSC) is seeking individuals interested in writing, editing, and publishing. If you would like to contribute to the field of health sciences librarianship by serving as Copyeditor for a term of two years (September 2020 – August 2022), please send a cover letter detailing your experience, your interest in this position, and your language skills, along with a current CV to editor at chla-absc.ca no later than May 15, 2020.


The Copyeditor is responsible for:

· Maintaining and updating the JCHLA/JABSC Publishing Manual.

· Maintaining and updating the JCHLA/JABSC copyediting guidelines

· Ensuring that proper grammar and spelling conventions are addressed

· Verifying cited references

· Identifying inconsistencies or changes in format/style

· Other duties as required and agreed upon by the Editorial team

· Working with manuscripts in the Open Journal Systems platform


Please Note: Experience with Open Journal Systems is not essential but would be an asset.  This is a volunteer position.
